Scale
Turkey Mixture
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or sage, chopped
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the stuffing balls.
- Sauté Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and celery in a splash of oil until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, stuffing mix, sautéed onion and celery, chicken broth, chopped herbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to maintain a tender texture.
- Form Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls, making approximately 12 servings, and place them evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake the turkey stuffing balls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs like parsley or sage for enhanced flavor.
- Make sure not to overmix the ingredients to keep the balls tender.
- You can substitute the stuffing mix with gluten-free stuffing for dietary preferences.
- Serve with cranberry sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
