- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (plus more for topping)
Optional:
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Chex Mix: In a large bowl, mix Rice Chex cereal, mini pretzels, and pecans.
- Make Toffee Mixture: In a saucepan, cook brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup until boiling. Add baking soda, vanilla, and sea salt. Pour over Chex mix.
- Bake: Spread the mixture on the baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
