Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Potatoes
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 ½ pounds baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Potatoes: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the halved or quartered baby potatoes. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and fork-tender. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set them aside.
- Sear the Steak Bites: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Arrange the sirloin steak cubes in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear the steak bites for 2–3 minutes per side, until they are browned and cooked to your preferred level of doneness.
- Add Butter and Garlic: Reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter along with the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir well to coat the steak bites in the garlic butter mixture and let the garlic flavor infuse into the steak.
- Combine Steak and Potatoes: Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together gently to mix the flavors. Continue cooking for an additional 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the steak bites and potatoes before serving to add a fresh and vibrant touch.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak cubes in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Yukon gold or red potatoes work best for a creamy texture.
