Main Ingredients
- 14 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 – 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F to prepare for baking the dip evenly and thoroughly.
- Mix Base Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, blend together sour cream, mayonnaise, and softened cream cheese until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add Vegetables and Seasonings: Stir in the chopped artichokes, thoroughly drained spinach, Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed to suit your preference.
- Prepare for Baking: Transfer the dip mixture into a 2-cup baking dish. Optionally cover it with foil to prevent over-browning while baking.
- Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbling, and slightly golden on top.
- Serve Warm: Remove the dip from the oven and serve it warm alongside bagel chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- Be sure to thoroughly drain the spinach and artichokes to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
- Worcestershire sauce adds depth of flavor but can be omitted for a vegetarian version or substituted with soy sauce if preferred.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper amount to control the spiciness level to your preference.
- For a keto-friendly variation, consider using full-fat mayonnaise and cream cheese, and ensure no added sugars in the Worcestershire sauce.
- This dip can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated, then baked just before serving.
