Description

This playful and delightful Snowman Breakfast is a fun, no-cook recipe that’s perfect for kids and winter-themed gatherings. Using mini powdered donuts stacked to resemble a snowman, decorated with pretzel stick arms, a carrot nose, and mini chocolate chip eyes, smiles, and buttons, this sweet treat is both charming and easy to assemble.

Ingredients

Snowman Body

  • Bag of Mini Powdered Donuts (6-8 donuts)

Decorations

  • Pretzel Sticks (for arms, approximately 12 sticks)
  • Carrot (small piece cut into a triangle for the nose)
  • Mini Chocolate Chips (for eyes, smile, and buttons, about 30 chips)

Instructions

  1. Assemble the Snowman Base: Stack 2-3 mini powdered donuts on top of each other to form the body and head of the snowman. Ensure the donuts are stable by slightly pressing them together gently so they hold.
  2. Add Arms with Pretzel Sticks: Insert pretzel sticks on either side of the middle donut to represent the snowman’s arms. Use 2 sticks per arm if desired for more authentic look.
  3. Create the Nose: Take a small triangular piece of carrot and place it on the top donut as the snowman’s carrot nose, pressing gently so it stays in place.
  4. Decorate the Face and Body: Use mini chocolate chips to form eyes on the top donut, a smiling mouth, and buttons on the body donuts by pressing them gently into the donut surface.

Notes

  • This recipe requires no cooking—perfect for a quick and fun breakfast or snack.
  • Mini powdered donuts can be substituted with plain mini donuts if preferred.
  • For additional stability, consider using a small dab of cream cheese or frosting as ‘glue’ between donuts and decorations.
  • Customize the snowman with additional toppings like raisins for buttons or edible markers for extra details.
  • Great activity for kids to engage with their food creatively.
