Shrimp Filling:

  • 8 ounces raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Other:

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Small bowl of water for sealing
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine chopped shrimp, cream cheese, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Fill the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of the shrimp filling to the center. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal the wontons.
  3. Fry the Wontons: Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a skillet. Fry wontons in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
