Description

These Ranch Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers combine tender, juicy chicken breasts with a flavorful blend of ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Grilled or baked to perfection, they make a quick and delicious family-friendly meal that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional, to taste)

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Equipment

  • Wooden or metal skewers (if wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes prior to use)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.
  2. Cut Chicken: Cut chicken breasts into 1 1/2-inch cubes and place them into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Marinate: Add olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, black pepper, salt (if using), and half of the grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl with chicken. Toss everything together until the chicken pieces are evenly coated.
  4. Skewer Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece to ensure even cooking.
  5. Cook Chicken: Grill the skewers over medium-high heat or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes. Turn once halfway through cooking. Cook until the internal temperature of chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the skewers from heat, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • If wooden skewers are not soaked, they may burn during cooking.
  • The recipe can be grilled outdoors or baked in the oven depending on your preference.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt, depending on your ranch seasoning’s salt content.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to 2 hours before cooking.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked thoroughly to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
