Description

These Pizza Steak Skewers are a fun twist on classic pizza flavors, perfect for summer grilling. Tender sirloin steak, juicy cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and mozzarella cheese are skewered together with pepperoni, then grilled to perfection. A burst of Italian seasoning and garlic make these skewers a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Skewers:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 small red onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese cubes
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Prepare Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using.
  2. Preheat Grill: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Prepare Ingredients: In a large bowl, toss steak cubes, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, mozzarella, and pepperoni with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Skewer Ingredients: Thread ingredients onto skewers, alternating steak, vegetables, cheese, and pepperoni for variety.
  5. Grill Skewers: Grill skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until steak is cooked to desired doneness and vegetables are slightly charred.
  6. Rest and Serve: Remove from grill and rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or flank steak.
  • For extra flavor, marinate steak in Italian dressing for 30 minutes before assembling.
  • Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
