Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (about half a medium pineapple)
- 4 kiwis, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup seedless green grapes, halved
Dressing
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the fruits: Peel, core, and cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks. Peel and slice the kiwis. Hull and halve the strawberries. Halve the seedless grapes to make them easier to eat.
- Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and fresh lime juice until well combined to create a light honey-lime drizzle.
- Toss the salad: Place all the prepared fruits into a large mixing bowl. Pour the honey-lime dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat everything evenly without bruising the fruits.
- Chill to meld flavors: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and enhance the taste. Serve the salad chilled for best freshness.
- Garnish and serve: Transfer the chilled salad to a serving bowl or platter. Sprinkle the chopped fresh mint on top as a garnish, then serve immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors.
Notes
- You can omit the honey if you prefer a naturally sweet salad or if you’re looking to reduce sugar content.
- Try adding other fruits like blueberries, mango, or orange segments for variety.
- If fresh mint is unavailable, fresh basil can be used as an alternative garnish.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle some toasted coconut flakes or chopped nuts on top before serving.
