Description

A flavorful and cheesy Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap that combines seasoned ground beef, melted nacho cheese, crunchy Doritos, and fresh toppings, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and toasted to crispy perfection. Ideal for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Mix
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup chopped green peppers

Nacho Cheese Sauce Mixture

  • 1 cup Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • 1 can Rotel, green chilis with diced tomatoes

Additional Ingredients

  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • Nacho Cheese flavored Doritos, crushed (amount as desired, approx. 1 cup)
  • 4 flour tortilla wraps
  • Shredded lettuce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the lean ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Add the diced onions and chopped green peppers to the browned beef. Sauté together for about 4 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
  3. Season the Meat: Stir in the taco seasoning packet thoroughly to coat the beef and vegetables evenly. Cook for another minute to blend the flavors.
  4. Prepare Nacho Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the can of Rotel (green chilis with diced tomatoes) with the nacho cheese sauce. Mix well until smooth.
  5. Lay out Tortillas: Place the four large flour tortillas on a flat clean surface, ready for assembly.
  6. Assemble Wraps: Spoon a generous layer of the nacho cheese and Rotel mixture down the center of each tortilla.
  7. Add Fillings: Top the cheese layer with the seasoned beef mixture, then add sour cream, additional diced onions and peppers if desired, and crushed nacho cheese-flavored Doritos for crunch.
  8. Fold and Roll: Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and then roll them tightly from one end to the other, securing the filling inside like a burrito.
  9. Toast the Wraps: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place each wrapped tortilla seam side down onto the skillet. Toast until the tortilla is crispy and browned, about 2-3 minutes per side, flipping carefully to toast both sides evenly.
  10. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and serve immediately garnished with shredded lettuce and any additional preferred toppings such as extra sour cream or salsa.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce inside the wrap.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for beef to make a leaner version.
  • Ensure the skillet is not too hot when toasting wraps to prevent burning the tortillas before the inside is warmed through.
  • Crushed Doritos add a nice texture contrast—feel free to adjust the amount based on personal preference.
  • To keep wraps warm before serving, wrap them in aluminum foil.
