Description

A vibrant and nutritious Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl featuring creamy almond milk, antioxidant-rich mixed berries, and exotic dragon fruit slices. Topped with crunchy granola, goji berries, and fresh raspberries, this smoothie bowl is perfect for a refreshing and energizing breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • Ice cubes (optional, 1-2 cubes)

Toppings

  • Dragon fruit, peeled and sliced (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup granola (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried goji berries
  • Fresh raspberries (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dragon Fruit: Slice the dragon fruit and peel each slice with your hands. Cut the peeled slices into bite-size pieces and set them aside for topping.
  2. Blend the Smoothie Base: In a blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, vanilla almond milk, flax seeds, and peeled banana. Blend until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more berries for thickness or more almond milk to thin it out. Optionally, add 1-2 ice cubes to keep the smoothie cold longer and blend again.
  3. Assemble the Bowl: Pour the blended smoothie into a bowl. Top it evenly with granola, dried goji berries, sliced dragon fruit, and fresh raspberries. Add any additional fresh fruits you like for extra flavor and texture.

Notes

  • To make it vegan and dairy-free, ensure the almond milk used is plant-based and unsweetened.
  • For added protein, consider adding a scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder during blending.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Feel free to substitute granola with nuts or seeds for a different texture and nutrition profile.
  • Use fresh dragon fruit if available for the best flavor and texture.
