Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups queso dip (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Biscuit Dough
- 2 packs (16 oz total) refrigerated biscuit dough
Other
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
- Sliced jalapeños (optional, for serving)
- Diced avocado (optional, for serving)
- Sour cream or hot sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, queso dip, taco seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until the mixture is well blended and evenly seasoned.
- Prepare Biscuits: Separate the refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten each piece slightly with your hands. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken queso mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit, then fold the dough over the filling, carefully pinching the edges to seal each slider completely.
- Bake: Arrange the sealed sliders seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil to promote browning. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Garnish & Serve: Once baked, sprinkle the sliders with chopped fresh cilantro. Serve warm, alongside optional toppings such as sliced jalapeños, diced avocado, sour cream, or hot sauce for extra flavor.
Notes
- Use warm cooked chicken for easier shredding and better flavor absorption.
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños directly into the filling.
- The queso dip can be homemade or store-bought based on your preference and convenience.
- Ensure edges of the biscuit dough are well sealed to prevent filling leakage during baking.
- These sliders can be made ahead of time; prepare and refrigerate before baking to save time before serving.
