Description

Little Caesars Crazy Puffs are deliciously cheesy, bite-sized pizza pockets made with soft pizza dough filled with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and classic Italian sausage or pepperoni. Baked to golden perfection with a buttery, garlicky topping and a sprinkle of Parmesan, these pizza puffs make a perfect appetizer or snack that’s easy to customize and fun to share.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough

Filling

  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage or mini pepperoni

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Other

  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the puffs.
  2. Shape Dough Cups: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a clean surface and cut it into 8 equal squares. Press each square into an individual muffin cup, allowing the edges to hang slightly over the sides for folding later.
  3. Add Filling: Spoon a small amount of marinara or pizza sauce into the bottom of each dough cup. Top the sauce with shredded mozzarella cheese and then add cooked Italian sausage or mini pepperoni evenly over the cheese.
  4. Fold Dough: Gently fold the overhanging dough corners over the filling, lightly pressing the edges to seal the pockets without squeezing out the filling.
  5. Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until well combined. Brush this flavorful mixture generously over the tops of each dough-covered muffin cup.
  6. Add Parmesan and Bake: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered tops of each puff. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the puffs turn golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the muffin tin from the oven and allow the crazy puffs to cool slightly before carefully removing them from the tin. Serve warm as a tasty appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • Customize the filling by adding vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms, or swap in ham or different cheeses to suit your taste.
  • For a crispier bottom crust, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese inside each muffin cup before pressing in the dough.
  • Make sure not to overfill the dough cups to prevent leakage during baking.
  • Allow the puffs to cool slightly before serving to avoid burning from hot fillings.
