Description

A refreshing Lemon Vanilla Black Tea Iced Tea recipe that combines the aromatic warmth of vanilla black tea with the bright, tart flavor of fresh lemon juice and a hint of sweetness. Perfect for a cooling, flavorful drink on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Infusion

  • 400ml filtered water
  • 2-3 tsp Sirocco vanilla black tea (or any quality vanilla black tea blend)

Lemonade Mixture

  • 15g sugar
  • 200ml warm water
  • 50g fresh lemon juice (about 1 large lemon)

To Serve

  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lemon slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tea Infusion: In a jar or container, combine 2-3 teaspoons of vanilla black tea with 400ml filtered water. Stir gently to mix, then cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight to allow the flavors to fully infuse.
  2. Make the Lemonade: In a small bowl or measuring jug, dissolve 15g sugar in 200ml warm water. Once fully dissolved, let the mixture cool to room temperature. Add 50g freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir thoroughly to combine.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Fill a glass with a generous handful of ice cubes. Pour about 150ml (or to taste) of the homemade lemonade over the ice. Add fresh lemon slices if desired for extra citrus aroma and flavor.
  4. Finish with Tea: Top up the glass with the chilled vanilla black tea infusion. Give the drink a gentle stir to meld the lemonade and tea, creating a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and aromatic vanilla notes.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sugar amount to suit your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a stronger tea flavor, use 3 teaspoons of tea leaves and steep longer.
  • This recipe is great for preparing in advance since the tea infusion improves in flavor when refrigerated overnight.
  • If you don’t have vanilla black tea, any quality black tea blend with a hint of vanilla or aromatic notes works well.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best, freshest flavor.
