Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 2 cups leftover ham, sliced
- 8 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
Topping
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- Poppy seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray to prevent the sliders from sticking during baking.
- Assemble Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Layer the sliced ham evenly on the bottom halves of the rolls, then top with cheese slices.
- Add Top and Butter: Place the top halves of the rolls back onto the ham and cheese layers. Generously brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle poppy seeds over them if using.
- Bake: Place the assembled sliders in the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are heated through and the tops are golden brown.
- Serve: Allow the sliders to cool slightly before slicing them apart. Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use leftover ham for a quick and easy meal, or substitute with deli ham if fresh ham is not available.
- Swiss cheese gives a milder taste while cheddar offers a sharper flavor—choose according to preference.
- Brushing with melted butter adds richness and helps the poppy seeds stick to the top of the sliders.
- Optional poppy seeds add a subtle crunch and visual appeal but can be omitted if preferred.
- Serve with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
