Description

This Jalapeño Popper Crescent Roll Ring is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer combining creamy, cheesy jalapeño popper filling wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for parties and gatherings, this ring features cream cheese, cheddar, crispy bacon, and spicy jalapeños baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Dough and Topping

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños for garnish
  • Optional: extra shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Arrange Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the triangles in a circular pattern with the short ends overlapping in the center, forming a ring shape.
  4. Add Filling: Spoon the jalapeño popper mixture evenly around the center of the ring, placing it near the base of each triangle so it will be enclosed when folded.
  5. Seal Ring: Fold the pointed ends of the crescent roll triangles over the filling, tucking the tips underneath the ring to seal the filling inside.
  6. Apply Egg Wash and Garnish: Brush the entire top of the ring with the beaten egg to promote golden browning. If desired, sprinkle additional shredded cheese on top and garnish with sliced jalapeños for extra flavor and visual appeal.
  7. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes or until the crescent roll ring is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Serve: Allow the ring to cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve with ranch dressing or sour cream for dipping if preferred.

Notes

  • You can substitute turkey bacon or omit the bacon to make this appetizer vegetarian.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños to control the spiciness according to your preference.
  • Pair with ranch dressing or sour cream for a creamy dipping option.
