Pickling Spice Blend
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard seeds

- 4 whole cloves, crushed
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon dill seed (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add all the mustard seeds, peppercorns, coriander seeds, allspice berries, crushed bay leaves, red pepper flakes, crushed cloves, ground ginger, and dill seed into a small bowl or airtight jar. Mix thoroughly until well blended to ensure an even distribution of flavors.
- Store the Spice Mix: Transfer the mixed pickling spice into a sealed container or jar. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This blend can be kept for up to one year, preserving its aromatic qualities for whenever you need to enhance your pickling recipes.
