Description

This Homemade Big Mac Wrap offers a deliciously convenient twist on the classic Big Mac burger. Wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, it combines seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, onions, pickles, and a tangy homemade special sauce. Perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner, these wraps bring all the iconic Big Mac flavors into a handheld, easy-to-eat format.

Ingredients

Scale

Wrap and Filling

  • 1 large flour tortilla
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons shredded lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon pickles, sliced

Special Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until the sauce is smooth and evenly mixed. Set aside.
  2. Warm the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the pre-cooked ground beef and stir occasionally until it’s heated through and warm. Remove from heat once ready.
  3. Lay Out the Tortilla: Place the large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface, such as a cutting board. Spread a thin, even layer of the prepared special sauce along the center, leaving a border around the edges.
  4. Add the Beef: Evenly distribute the warm ground beef over the sauce in a line down the center of the tortilla.
  5. Layer the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the ground beef to allow it to melt slightly from the residual heat.
  6. Add Fresh Veggies: Top the cheese with shredded lettuce, followed by diced onions and sliced pickles, layering these ingredients evenly along the wrap.
  7. Roll the Wrap: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward toward the center, then carefully roll the tortilla tightly from the bottom up, ensuring all fillings are securely enclosed.
  8. Slice and Serve: Cut the rolled wrap diagonally in half using a sharp knife and serve immediately with any extra special sauce as a dipping accompaniment.

Notes

  • The ground beef used should be pre-cooked for quicker preparation.
  • For extra flavor, use freshly chopped onions and crisp lettuce.
  • You can substitute cheddar cheese with American cheese for a closer Big Mac taste.
  • If desired, warm the wraps slightly in a skillet or microwave before serving for a more melted cheese experience.
  • The special sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
