Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of Herb Roasted Chicken in Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce. Tender chicken thighs are seasoned with a blend of aromatic herbs, then roasted to perfection and served with a luscious creamy garlic herb sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Herb-Roasted Chicken:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Pat dry the chicken thighs, rub with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and garlic powder. Place on a baking sheet skin-side up.
  3. Roast the chicken: Roast for 35–40 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Make the sauce: In a skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, add broth, then cream and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened. Stir in herbs.
  5. Serve: Transfer chicken to the skillet with the sauce or pour the sauce over the chicken. Spoon sauce over each piece and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • You can substitute boneless thighs or chicken breasts, adjusting cooking time accordingly.
