Description

This French Bread Chicken Alfredo Pizza is a delicious and easy-to-make twist on traditional pizza, featuring a crispy French bread base topped with creamy Alfredo sauce, tender shredded chicken, and melted cheeses. It’s a perfect quick dinner option that combines comforting Italian-American flavors in a simple, no-fuss recipe.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 loaf French bread (sliced lengthwise)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings

  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded or chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced French bread halves cut side up onto a baking sheet. Lightly brush the cut sides of the bread with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with garlic powder to add flavor.
  2. Toast the Bread: Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes. This step crisps up the bread slightly, creating a sturdy and crunchy base for your pizza.
  3. Apply Alfredo Sauce: Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over each bread half, making sure to cover the surface completely for a creamy base.
  4. Add Toppings: Distribute the shredded chicken evenly over the sauce. Next, sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top. Season with Italian seasoning and add salt and pepper to taste to enhance the flavors.
  5. Bake the Pizza: Return the assembled pizzas to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted, turned bubbly, and the edges of the bread turn golden brown.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the pizzas from the oven. Optionally garnish with fresh parsley to add a pop of color and fresh flavor. Slice and serve warm for the best taste.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken to save time and add extra flavor.
  • For added veggies or heartiness, try adding sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or cooked bacon as extra toppings.
  • To achieve a crispier cheese topping, broil the pizza for the last 1–2 minutes—watch carefully to avoid burning.
