Ingredients
Scale
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
Add-ins
- ½ cup red and green sprinkles (plus extra for topping)
- Optional: ½ cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal of the bread easier.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream), vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredient mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir gently just until all ingredients are incorporated—avoid overmixing to maintain a tender crumb.
- Fold in Sprinkles and White Chocolate Chips: Carefully fold the red and green sprinkles into the batter, along with the optional white chocolate chips if using. This adds bursts of color and sweetness throughout the bread.
- Fill Loaf Pan: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top with a spatula. Add a few more sprinkles on top for a decorative finish.
- Bake the Bread: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50–60 minutes. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the Bread: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then remove it from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use holiday-themed sprinkles that don’t bleed too much color into the batter to maintain the bread’s vibrant look.
- For an extra festive touch, glaze the cooled bread with a simple vanilla icing or dust it with powdered sugar.
- This bread can be wrapped tightly and gifted or frozen for later enjoyment.
