Description

Easter Bunny Bait is a delightful sweet snack mix perfect for Easter gatherings or as a festive treat. Made with popcorn, rice cereal, white chocolate, and colorful candies, this no-bake recipe is a fun and easy snack to make with kids.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bunny Bait:

  • 4 cups popped popcorn
  • 2 cups rice cereal (such as Rice Chex)
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
  • 1½ cups white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • ½ cup pastel-colored M&M’s
  • ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (if using white chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the popcorn, rice cereal, pretzels, and mini marshmallows if using.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts with the vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  3. Coat with Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate over the dry mix and stir gently to coat everything evenly.
  4. Add Candy and Sprinkles: Quickly add the M&M’s and sprinkles before the chocolate sets, folding them in gently.
  5. Set and Serve: Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes. Once set, break into clusters and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For themed fun, use bunny- or egg-shaped sprinkles and pastel-colored treats.
  • This recipe makes a great Easter gift—just package in clear bags tied with ribbon.
