Description

This Crockpot Beef Tips & Noodles recipe features tender stew meat cooked slowly with savory Lipton onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, and beef broth, served over perfectly cooked egg noodles. Easy to prepare and comforting, it’s a delicious slow-cooked meal ideal for busy days or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Tips

  • 1 lb stew meat
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water

Noodles & Garnish

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Tips: In a slow cooker, combine the stew meat, Lipton onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, beef broth, and water. Stir all the ingredients well to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  2. Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook the beef tips on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. The beef should become tender and the gravy should thicken during this time.
  3. Cook the Noodles: About 20 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions on the stovetop. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.
  4. Combine and Serve: Season the cooked beef tips with salt and pepper to your taste. Serve the beef tips generously over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired for an added touch of color and flavor.

Notes

  • For extra richness, you can add a splash of red wine or Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture before cooking.
  • Make sure not to overcook the noodles to avoid mushy textures; cook them al dente.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • You can substitute the beef broth with homemade broth for a more natural flavor.
  • If you prefer thicker gravy, mix a little cornstarch with cold water and stir it in during the last 30 minutes of cooking in the crockpot.
