- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 4 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Whipped cream

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Prepare Chocolate Mixture: In a saucepan, heat cream and milk until steaming. Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth.
- Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and salt. Slowly add the chocolate mixture, whisking constantly. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Strain and Divide: Strain mixture and divide among ramekins. Create a water bath and bake for 30–35 minutes.
- Cool and Chill: Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

- For a dairy-free version, use full-fat coconut milk and dairy-free chocolate.
