Description

Indulge in these delicious Cinnamon Waffles with Maple Butter for a sweet and satisfying breakfast treat. These waffles are perfectly spiced with cinnamon and topped with a decadent maple butter that takes them to the next level.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Waffles:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Maple Butter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Prepare the Waffle Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  3. Cook the Waffles: Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour in the batter. Close and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 4–5 minutes.
  4. Make the Maple Butter: Beat the softened butter with maple syrup and cinnamon (if using) until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Serve: Serve the waffles warm with a dollop of maple butter.

Notes

  • You can freeze leftover waffles and reheat them in a toaster.
  • For added crunch, add 1/4 cup chopped pecans to the waffle batter.
  • Maple butter can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
