- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache or melted chocolate

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the cake: Beat eggs and sugar until thick, add vanilla and milk. Sift and fold in dry ingredients. Spread batter in pan and bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Roll the cake: Invert cake onto a towel dusted with powdered sugar, roll up and cool.
- Make the filling: Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble: Unroll cake, spread whipped cream, roll back up, and transfer to a plate.
- Optional: Drizzle with chocolate and refrigerate for 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a richer filling, add mascarpone or cream cheese to the whipped cream.
- The cake can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
- Use a serrated knife for clean slices.
