Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
Sausage Gravy
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Toppings
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for cooking eggs)
- Chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet. Flatten the biscuit dough pieces and press them together into an even crust across the bottom of the pan, pinching the seams to seal them. Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes until it is lightly golden and partially baked.
- Make the sausage gravy: While the crust bakes, heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir well to coat. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until the gravy thickens. Season the gravy with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, stirring to combine.
- Scramble the eggs: In a separate pan, melt the butter or heat oil over medium heat. Add the eggs and scramble gently until just set but still moist. Remove from heat.
- Assemble and bake: Remove the partially baked biscuit crust from the oven. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the crust. Top the gravy layer with the scrambled eggs, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to brown.
- Garnish and serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and optionally garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives. Slice into 6 portions and serve warm for a hearty breakfast treat.
